NATIONAL NUCLEAR – Uranium Batch Dissolver Vessel

This stainless steel dissolver pressure vessel has been made to the exacting standards required for National Nuclear Laboratory.

A waste stream of uranium contaminated solution is heat treated with acids to recover the waste material.

Heatons Engineering have made an earlier design for this process in which the coil was housed internally. This prototype batch dissolver is the first to feature an external coil in a bid to speed up the cooling process.

Inspector for NNL Kevin Sumner, passed positive comment on the build quality of the product, and has given Heatons the continued approval required to fabricate these high specification vessels.
